Last Updated: February 22, 2026
At auraDNA ("we," "our," or "us"), we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website and use our AI styling services.
By using auraDNA, you consent to the data practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
To provide you with a personalized styling dossier, we collect the following information:
- Image Data: Photos and selfies uploaded for color analysis.
- Contact Information: Your email address collected during free scans or purchases.
- Payment Information: Payments are processed directly by secure third-party processors (for example, Stripe). We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
- Usage Data: Standard analytics such as IP address, browser type, device information, and site interaction data.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to operate and improve the platform:
- To Provide the Service: We process uploaded photos through AI to generate your personalized results.
- To Communicate: We deliver results, access links, updates, and optional marketing emails. You may opt out of marketing emails at any time.
- To Improve Our AI: We may use anonymized or retained image data to test and improve model quality and performance.
3. Data Storage and Retention
Because the service relies on facial photo analysis, we apply these storage rules:
- Standard Deletion: Uploaded photos are deleted from active servers 30 days after your Report is generated.
- Indefinite Retention Right: We reserve the right to retain uploaded photos indefinitely, at our sole discretion, for system maintenance, quality control, and ongoing AI improvements.
- Email Data: We retain your email until you request removal from marketing communications.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information or photos. We may share data with trusted providers as needed to run the service:
- AI Providers: Photos may be securely transmitted to third-party AI providers (for example, Google or OpenAI) solely to generate your analysis.
- Infrastructure Providers: Hosting, email, authentication, and payment providers used to operate auraDNA.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information when required by law or valid government/legal process.
5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to manage sessions, support payments, and understand how users navigate the site. You can disable cookies in your browser, but some features may not function correctly.
6. Children's Privacy
auraDNA is not directed to children. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction (for example, under 18 in Ontario), you must have explicit consent from a parent or legal guardian before uploading photos or providing email data. If we learn we collected data from a minor without proper consent, we will take steps to remove it.
